Web 2.0 here I come!
So far so good.
Week 1:
I have yet to fill out my learning contract, but my goal will be to make a Wiki to promote library programs and events while becoming more familiar with and less intimidated by Web 2.0 technology.
I strive to be a life long learner as I think most librarians do. Some habits of life long learners come easier to me than others. I have every confidence that I can learn and apply knowledge in any area of my choosing and I accept responsibility for my own learning. However, I have a difficult time viewing challenges as obstacles and learning opportunites rather than as catastrophes! I also forget to play. These are things that I can work on...
Week 2:
I've set up my blog and here I am! Setting up the blog was extremely easy - if only the rest of the course could be the same! But, then challenges are what will create better opportunity for learning, right?!

Very cool, Susan. It's fun setting up the blog, isn't it?
Wow Jenne - you're fast! I was still playing around with the colors. Yes, this is fun!
Hey there - that's a great picture! I love changing my backgrounds around...it releives my stress and lets you be creative. You have to edit some of the html to get the background you want, but I always start with a general code (the ones we get to choose from) and then I work on the html for the background, colors and pics. A great place to get lots of backgrounds is: www.glitter-graphics.com
ttyl,
Laura ;)
Cool! Thanks Laura. I just went to the site you recommended and pulled a different background off it. I actually really surprised myself because I was not sure if I would be able to figure out how to do it or not. One small step at a time...I'm uploading pictures to my first Flickr account as I type. Thanks for your help!
Hi Susan,
I am practicing how to post a comment to somebody else's blog.
Susan, I will try your tip on how to change my blog's background.
Thank you!
Diana
